Thanks for doing that Brian...I get along better with cats than I do with computers..they never do what you ask, doesn't matter how nicely you talk to them..lol.
Still very bruised about putting down my other cat but this new one is filling the hole very rapidly.
Blue has been a mantelpiece cat..well loved but had no real close interaction with people, shunned contact and didn't know how to play. I spent 2 days sitting on the floor playing with a shoelace by my self until his curiosity got too much and he joined into the play. From that point on the light bulb went on and instead of being scared of balls and toys he is making fun discoveries every day and it is wonderful watching him bloom. I have let him initiate physical contact which he has done and was craving I am sure, and he is all over me every time I sit down. Still a little hesitant about a lot of patting or being picked up but we had a play fight last night which was pure fun and we both enjoyed it immensely and he rested behind me on the couch with paw on my shoulder and nose in my hair. It has been an easy ride to settle this one into his new home and watching his people and play skills so quickly develop.
