Well, whenever I need reassurance that I'm not turning into the mad cat lady as everyone around me thinks, I log onto here to surround myself with all of you who have so many more cats than I do! - i'm only onto my second!!!!! (my inlaws worry I may never want to have children - married two years - 1 cat each year..so far :))

Soo..I thought it'd be interesting to have a tally - how many cats do you all have (names/breeds/age/) and a bit of info about yourselves too!! That way we can find out who really is the biggest furrrling lover ever!!!!

Okay so:

I'm Zakiyya, 23, married to my gorgeous husband for just over 2 years. Whilst I'm not harassing my husband to let me re-home another cat I'm a trainee solicitor - playing with my bengal is SO much more exciting - they have no laws!!! :)

I'm mum to :
Zebedee - my 1 year old Silver Bengal who I got from Applegarth Bengals, Kent :)

Amber/Phoenix?(can't decide on a name yet!) - my Abyssininan girl who will be home in two weeks!! xx

Come on everyone, it's your turn now!! :)

Good idea for a thread!!

I'm Ginny and I live in Cumbria with my two 15-month old Bengals, Dolly and Daisy. I'm currently thinking of turning into a mad cat woman by adopting two moggie kittens! However, I can't help remembering something my late mum used to say to me - two cats is normal, more than 3 is eccentric :) I guess that makes a lot of eccentric people on here :D

I work for Cumbria County Council as a data analyst - the best that can be said for it is that it pays the mortgage and the vet bills!! The other love in my life is Manchester United (I originally come from Manchester) and I still have a season ticket and go to all the home games. I'm also treasurer for my village church and the village community centre and I sing in a nearby choral society. This weekend we performed a Shubert Mass with the Northern Sinfonia in Carlisle - fantastic experience to sing with a professional orchestra.

Between cats, footie, singing and treasurer duties, I don't have time for anyone else so I'm happily middle aged and single - perfect recipe for being a mad cat woman I reckon :)

Hi Ginny, nice to meet you :)

My husband would love you, he's a passionate Mancurian fan and when there's a match on I could ask him to promise to fly me to the moon and he'd agree just to have me out of distraction!!!!

Whoa very busy life - BUT i'm pleased to know 3 is eccentric and not two!!! :) That's the only thing Bridget Jones was missing - a cat!

Well, I join in. I have two cats only. (A wonderful tabby and a very LOUD bengal. :) )

Oh yeah - and some other pets: 7 pet sugar gliders (plus 4 rescues to be rehomed), 2 doggies, and 3 rats.

Hummm, maybe I am the 'crazy cat/animal person.' Oh well, Phoenix, my bengal is the last pet for a LONG time!

Hi I'm Vicki and I live in Leicester. I own and run a designer lingerie website, not the tacky, sleazy stuff by the way!

I have 2 furbabies, a bengal and a Tabby. My bengal Isra is 4 months and she came from Glitterglam Bengals. Casper the tabby came from a farm.

Working from home I get to form a really close bond with the kitties and love talking to them and playing with them as much as possible. They help me pack up the orders and have a fixation with suspender belts!!

I am definitely a mad cat lady because my cat has a blog!

hi :D
I'm Chrissy and my beloved - Clem - and i are lucky enough to have 2 silver Bengals, Max and Freya in our lives. We got married last November and both wanted dogs (i have had dogs most of my life, never had a lot of time for the felines) as we are both in the RAF we deceided that dogs were not practical, so went looking on the tinternet for 'a cat that acts like a dog' - thats what we googled and Bengals came back!
Max and Freya have turned our lives up side down but we love 'em to bits and it's Bengals all the way for us now.....they are 7 months nearly now, and i definalty will be the mad cat woman given half the chance!
I would post pics but i managed it once and can't remember how! (biff alert)
I am off to the desert for 4 months over Crimbo so will miss their 1st birthday and Christmas. i will still read the threads though!

Nice thread :D

I'm AnnC (short for Anne-Cécile ;) but english speaking people usually call me Anne  ), engaged to OH (27) since last week  (wedding should be in september 2009 ;), we're busy finding a place to do it...), 25 years old, I'm a vet, OH too, and we've got 2 cats :
Onyx, 1 year old, brown spotted tabby (moggy)
Chaos, 1 year old, Bengal (brown spotted tabby too).

But I plan to have some more as soon as we have a house, a Bengal queen to begin with and then... we'll see ;).

I've also got 2 siberian chipmunks and hubby has a marine tank.

I guess we'll also have a dog later (Border collie).

But since we're vets, we won't be excentric, it will be considered "normal" (the last vets I worked for had 3 Border collies, 7 cats, chickens and rabbits, 3 horses, sheep and a parrot  ).

Hello everybody!
Since I didn't write on the board for quite some time, I guess it's a good moment to make a reappearance with this thread! I'm following your stories really often though, it's so wonderful to see bengals adventures from all over the world! :D
My nickname is Syshadd, from a character in World of Warcraft video game, but IRL I'm Virginie. I live in Montreal and work for Ubisoft as a 3D artist.
Me and my OH are totally owned by three wonderful bengal princesses, Salem (brown spotted, 2 years old), Cybile (brown spotted, almost 2 years old, and Lilith (brown marble, 10 months). Soon, I hope to adopt a silver spotted girl, whom I would call Ariel after the mischeveous sprite from The Tempest (and ok from The little mermaid as well lol!). It means Lion of God in hebrew héhéhéhéhé! ;)
When I move away from the city, I'd like a dog as well, an english springer spaniel or a weimaraner. Guess I'll be busy, but it's such a gift to share our lives with animals! :D
Can write for hours, but time to go! ;)
Cheers,
Sysh

PS: Toutes mes félicitations AnnC! :D

Hi! My name is Heidi, I'm in 24. Only have one furbaby for now, Sammie, who is 2.5 years old and in August she'll have been with us a year. F6 bengal. I don't want human kids, so she's my baby and is very spoiled and treated like a real baby! Got married last February on the 29th. Yep, that's about all :)

Hi my name is Michelle, I love cats. I would have a house full, but hubby (Stu) wont let me. :(

Mitzy (bengal) is vocal, and loving
Image
Daisy (bengal) is shy, she is mischievious, she gets into some awkward places, and is so clumsy.
Image
Clint (moggie) came to us 3 years ago, she sat on our windowsill for 2 weeks before she ran in and we decided she could stay. We dont know where she came from. Or how long she would stay for, she adapted the title of 'the cat with no name' so Stu decided as Clint Eastwood was the man with no name in a Fistfull of Dollars, then she became clint.
Image
the next two I havent got photos of, but before Clint came 'Stinky' (moggie). Stinky was a stray also, he lived in our garden when we moved in, we were informed the previous tennant used to feed him. So we did, after a year he started to come into the house, he gained my trust, I managed to shower him and cut alot of knots from his fur..He was very old and was in extreme poor health, he was attacked by a dog and died,.

Then before that was lovely Tammy (moggie). I got Tammy as a small kitten, took her to the vet to be told she should be called Tommy as he was a he. We renamed him George. George was a very loving cat, we had him neutered, then he had to have an emergency operation on his stomach, he then got hit by a car, after 6 weeks of wiping cat poo from everywhere we decided to have him put down, my daughter at that time was only 18 months and she kept finding poo to play with. Poor George RIP.

Pearl...(moggie). what can i say...I can talk for hours about her, she was my true baby, we had an understanding of each other, we could read each other, Pearl was over 16 yrs old when she disappeared two nights before bonfire night 2006, she had her own pillow on my bed and she slept grooming my hair and cheek. We miss her deeply. RIP Pearl

sorry for the long epic, but i think i can be voted the cat lady of this year....
