Hello all.
My partner and I are blessed with the company of two Bengal cross kittens.
Mind you, blessed is not really what I am feeling with the fact they have ripped everything in the house to shreds.
Anyhow we have a couple of problems which are just plain bizzare.
The smaller Boy ( Benji ) kitten has taken to sucking his pee pee and simply goes to town on it!
This causes the Girl ( Gizzy ) to join in and suckles all over Benji's stomach.
You cant stop it either, they both eventually fall asleep.
I have never seen this before.
They are approx 6 months - according to the breeder they are brother and sister but when we took them to the vet for a check up the vet said they are at least three weeks in age difference and looking at Benji he looks almost full bengal.
Hmmmm.
Anyway can someone let us know if this is a Bengal thing please.

It sounds like their breeder is shady and some of these issues are probably arising from that. Especially the suckling behavior, common in cats separated from their mother too early.

Welcome to our forum. It is really difficult to figure out this behavior. You say the kittens are six months old, but you didn't mention the age in which you got them. Bengals are known for bizarre behavior, however. You are correct that one appears to be a full bengal. Did you get them from a registered breeder?

I'm sure you've mentioned this bizarre behavior to your vet. Since they are still kittens, they may outgrow this. I really don't know. As for the ripping everything to pieces. hopefully, you have catified your home with cat trees, toys and lots of cat beds. You need to be playing with your kittens -- wand toys are great. This may help in the behavior -- but I don't know. I've honestly never heard of this behavior before.

I also agree that this behavior they were removed from the mama too soon.

FYI many breeders are very angry about the production of 'crosses' or 'mixes' but there they are and we are going to love them anyway.
