Hello from Kimba!

Got her last Sunday. Another long drive... And she's here!

She's such a sweetie... Doing great job adjusting her new home. So glad to see she and Prince are now buddies.

And she loves to take naps.

That was certainly fast. You just have put them together immediately. Kimba is beautiful. Congratulations.

Kimba is beautiful. and it is wonderful to see her being buddies with Prince.

I thought that bengal new cat introductions were always stressful. Was it?

My bengal was very difficult when it came to meeting other cats. But he came from a rescue, and may have just had a traumatic time being abandoned by previous humans at age 9 and then neutered last May and moved twice last year. Once in late May to my friend who had a siamese and once again with me in September.

Judging by the wording "Another long drive" I assumed they were from the same litter. Congrats on the second.

I know they were from the same breeder. Not sure about the same litter.

Hello Sherry and Wizzard, no they are NOT from the same breeder ... But they are both from Michigan!

Prince and Kimba are playful kittens who seem to have been well raised and socialized before I adopt them. So it has made things easier. But still, Kimba spent her first night in my room, and I separated them two the second day when I was away. Despite that they are now sleeping together, and now fine with eating the same food, I cannot get them to both play the same toy at the same time. Prince "remind"s Kimba that he's (maybe?) the dominant one and Kimba doesn't like it of course! Maybe it's the kind of toy I use, but I've tried playing fetches and feather wands and neither of them worked out well. I think I should interact more with Kimba before I have them playing equally in one game. It was not "so easy" to have only one bengal and neither is it with two at the moment! But I am happy to see neither of them being left alone home when I am out working.

That's definitely one of the coolest marble patterns I've seen! Plus so much contrast. Really nice. Would love to see videos of her playing with your other one.

Sorry, I just thought you were using the same breeder. At any rate ... things are still new with Kimba, so patience is all that is needed. There will always be the alpha cat -- and I'm sure it will be Prince, but they are obviously getting along well together and they will learn to play with the same toys. Bless you for taking two of them. If I had two bengals, I would be going insane. LOL

Hi Sherry, it was ok ... I was certainly not clear. Surely things could be quite different with two bengals coming from a same breeder and even same litter!

It's a good idea to come up with some videos marking their friendship milestone LOL.

Playing rough...

PS. Sorry for the so-so-quality uploaded video from my phone.

The "playing" video had me a little alarmed with the crying that went with it. That usually indicates one cat is not into the playing at all. Then the loving video was a different story! My two tussle and it is usually Raiden that cries out. At the point, I break it up and the DSH usually goes outside! This morning, both cats were asleep in bed with us. The key is that Kimba and Prince are coexisting in the same environment.

I was unsure about the playing at first either ... I used to break them up in two rooms, but they both meowed so I had to open the door again... My guess is that Prince is still not used to Kimba playing toys with me. Thanks for your notice, Sherry. Will definitely watch out closely for a while. Fortunately haven't noticed any damage on either of the cats.
