Hello everybody

- and sorry for my english.

Bur now the introduction. My usband and me live in Denmark on the countryside together with 5 cats.

Pelle, our first cat, is a sweet farm cat (male) from a shelter.

Gina is a brown spottet bengal (female).

Rico is a seal lynx point bengal (male)

Masai is a silver smoke bengal (male, nearly black).

Zora is a Maine Coone mix (female). She came by herself and decided to stay. Actually, she was very desperate and 2 weeks later, when getting her spayed, we found out that she had highly infected uterus. She would have died without surgery.

I have some experience with:
HCM - Gina has it since she is 1 year old. Now she is 10.
Hyperthyreodism - Pelle has it since a year. He has also HCM.
FORL - Pelle has it. We need to see the "dentist" on wednesday again.
Eosinofilic granuloma - Rico had it. The vet could not treat him but a person healing animals with alternate medicin (sorry, I don't know the english expression) got him healthy again. My vet was really impressed.
Herpes infection - Rico has it.
Tritrichomonas infection - successfully cured.
Katarakt - both, Masai and Gina have it. It seems to ba a relatively often seen inherited desease in bengals.

Dont get it wrong - I consider my cats generally health, one does not see the cronically deseases with the medication they get. They are happy and they can go out into the garden. The garde has a cat proofed fence around so I can be sure they will come back healthy. The road is directely beside the garden.

have a nive day
Khito

Welcome to our great forum. You have experienced pretty much everything with your kitties, so your input here would be greatly appreciated. Your English is VERY good.

Oh wow, I'm so jealous. They're all beautiful. I would love to have more cats, but I'm not "allowed".
