Hi

I have been reading these forums with so much interest and now we have put a deposit down on our new little bengal girl I thought it time I stopped lurking and joined in!

We pick up our girl in 2 weeks time (she's 11 weeks at the moment). I can't wait, she is so affectionate and friendly. She will be keeping our 5 yr old Tabby boy Casper company, we lost his sister in January to very sudden kidney failure (assumed to be hereditary) and he has not been himself since. She was only 4 and it broke our hearts:(

We all felt ready for a new beginning and have always longed for a bengal so there you go. Can't wait, and what a great resource this forum is I look forward to being an active member.

Here's a couple of pictures:

Thanks guys, I think I have just enough time to prepare for the arrival of a boisterous kitten! Casper won't know what hit him! I should post a pic of him too, here he is with his sister Minnie (she is leaning on him) - they were so close:

Hi and welcome to the forum. I also got my Bengals after the loss of another cat - you still miss the other cat, but they do help to fill the gap! I do hope Jasper and the kitten settle in well together - take it gently at first and then they'll be the best of mates in no time.

Brilliant, keep your fingers crossed for me! Casper is very laid back and gentle so I am hoping it will be okay.

I'm all sad because Izzy's breeder just emailed to say that the litter are all sneezing today and so she doesn't think we will be able to collect her on Friday because obviously she needs to be 100%. So we will call and check in a couple of days to see how they are doing.

I'm really hoping the kittens are going to be all right, I was so looking forward to Friday :(

Aww, that's disappointing but the breeder is doing the responsible thing. It may turn out to be nothing but better to be safe than sorry. It won't be long before you get Izzy and the fun begins.

Yes I agree, I just really hope it turns out to be nothing serious. She says that apart from the sneezing they are all playing normally/happily and eating/drinking etc.
