Hey Guys,

Nice site you have here. I was looking for ways to keep my Bengal happy while I'm at work as he tends to destroy the house if I'm gone for long periods of time. Hope to read up on it and learn some new techniques. Thanks!

David

Welcome to the forum. Bengals can be destructive when they are bored. You might want to try some interactive toys that he can play with -- or a treat dispenser that will keep him busy for a while. How old is Babu? I have a 10 year old bengal and he was fine while I was working full time and had to be by himself. Of course, he has a large enclosure on our deck that he can access 24/7 and that helped him a lot.

Hi David,

The single best answer I can give you on how to keep a Bengal happy while you are away is another Bengal or at least another cat or dog to play with. It makes a big difference.

Second to that is an outdoor enclosure where they can self stimulate outdoors.

Finally, you can try to focus their destruction. Our boy likes to take apart cardboard boxes one bite at a time. Makes a mess but it's easy to clean up and we don't care. Easy to find more boxes! :)

Welcome, and I agree, a companion is the best toy!
