Well, I was really surprised to get an email from Star's original owner. She said she never knew about the heart murmur! She claims she would have told me had she known. Anyway, it does not matter. I am starting from scratch, a clean slate, and will do everything to make sure Star is healthy and happy. :)

If your breeder had taken Star to the vet before you got her, the vet would have detected the heart murmur, no doubt. Regardless, it's just common in bengals and as long as it is a low grade (did your vet tell you the grade?), then your kitty should be fine. I was always told Raiden's was a grade 2. Then they upped it to a grade 3 (as she heard the swishing on both sides of the heart). There are five grades, and some vets go to six. So a 1 or 2 is not bad at all. You could never tell Raiden had one to look at his energy level and how he behaves.

No Sherry, he did not tell me the grade. He did say it was very faint, and that he will keep an eye on it. I am not worried, as like your Raiden, she is full of energy, is very alert, and has a healthy appetite! She has been with me a week already! I can't remember how it was before she became such an important part of our lives!!!
