Hello Bengal world! I'm kind of new to this but could use a bit of insight. On the left of this photo is my 10-ish year old cat Dookie. Dookie came to us by frequenting our weekend fire pits, then waiting for our kids to get off the bus and finally making his way into our warm garage during a very brutal Chicago winter. Less than a few weeks of garage-en we let him in and he's been King every since. (5 years ago!) I've always known he wasn't just tabby because of his mannerisms. Very similar to Bengal. Not to mention his huge paws, extremely talkative nature and the markings. But recently we got our heart strings tugged and adopted Kipp. (His actually name is Mudd Kipp) We were told he was part Bengal but I don't believe that too much. His traits, very similar to older brother Dookie.
Here's the difference: Bolder markings Fur is much more silky and not as dense Longer body----Like seriously too long! He can stretch out to at least 2 feet not including his super snake like tail! Steeper nose/face Smaller ears He sleeps ALL THE TIME!!! For a breed that is said to be active this dude loves to sleep! So hard sometimes he actually has fallen off the top of the couch and a cat tower! (not real high and basically halfway down he startled himself awake!)
Right now he barely talks but adoption place he never shut up! LOL He loves our house and I just say he's content. He also like other posters have said, does not purr. In the month we have had him I have only witnessed him purr ONCE! No matter what you do!
He does love, absolutely love to play fight! I don't mind since the Dooks does too! They don't bite or scratch hard and know when to quit. Well, Kipp sort of but he is only 3 afterall.
Just wondering. Love these guys so much and they are both very awesome cats!
