Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your bengal. Know that it's very common for new arrivals to want to hide. Your environment is very new to him and it will take a while for him to settle in, so just be patient with him.

If you want to post a picture, simply scroll down to "If you want to attach one or more files, enter the details below" and then click "choose file." If the file is on your computer, find it, select it and then click "add the file." The file name will appear in the box and that's all you need to do.

Hmm, is there any way that you can give him a quiet area, away from all the traffic and loud noise to acclimate from? And preferably not in his carrier? That certainly sounds less than ideal for him.

Ok gotcha. He might feel safer with the door closed perhaps? He will come around. All 3 of mine wanted mostly to hide for the first 24-48 hours.

Hopefully, things will improve for you. Getting used to a bustling household may take a little longer. New sounds, lots of new smells. It's pretty terrifying for the kitty. You'll just have to let him go at his own pace but you also need to encourage him. He should be moving around and not staying in his bed all the time. Someone needs to go into the room and see if they can engage him in playing with toys. Hopefully, your little one is not ill.

I transfer all of my pictures on my phone to my computer and post from there.

Hi Emma

Welcome to the forum! I was wondering what the history is for your new boy? Is he an ex-stud or a rescue?

Congratulations on your new addition, it will take time, but if you can spend time sitting in his room with him and letting him get used to you, that may help.

Do you have any wand toys? Flying Frenzy? My two can't resist wand toys, and may help with you bonding with him.

Good luck and keep us posted.

He will gain confidence over time and join the family! All you need is to be patient.
