First of all, welcome to the forum! The stress of moving to a new environment affects kittens differently .... yours seems to be settling in great. As for eating ... as long as Coco is eating something, give her a little more time. She may be experiencing some digestive problems -- especially if you're feeding her a different type of food, but I think her appetite should increase as she gets settled in a little more. Naturally, if her appetite does not improve -- and, remember, kittens don't eat a whole lot -- they need multiple feedings per day just like a baby -- then by all means take her to the vet for a checkup. Her poops will tell you a lot. Congratulations -- she is beautiful.

Good to hear she is eating! She is gorgeous and its great to hear she's settling in well.

Obviously she needs to be eating proper kitten food as it is packed with all the nutrients she needs while she is growing and in particular taurine.

I discovered Meowing Heads only after my two were adults but would strongly recommend as mine love it. They do kitten food and you can obtain this from most good pet stores. Jagger wouldn't eat dry before I found this, he loves the dry and the wet food. Obviously you need to change her food very gradually usually but if she isn't touching the whiskas anyway, maybe this is immaterial in her case.

Meowing Heads has a good meat content and has no artificial stuff in it.

Lily's kitchen is also an extremely good cat food with a high meat content and thrive tins - mine eat all three of these, so if they go off something when they're going through a fussy moment, I always have something to give them.

Or you could look at feeding her raw - most pet shops would be able to help you with this, it is very popular with many on here so would be worth looking into whilst she is young. I didn't look into it until mine were probably a bit too old, but I wasn't sure it would suit with our lifestyle either as it is easier for me to leave some dry out etc when I'm working or going to be home late, plus I'm rubbish at remembering to get my own food out of the freezer!

Definitely find some high-quality kitten wet food. Since she appears to love chicken, try out that flavor. Buy one can of a couple of different brands and try them all out. Small cans are more expensive but less waste if she doesn't like them. Feed her just a small amount at a time and see how she does with it. It may take a few tries to find something that she's as crazy over as your cooking. :biggrin:

We got some purely kitten food from pets at home yesterday afternoon straight away scoffed the lot :) and so far so good no sign of upset tummy!

I have some raw mince food that the breeder was feeding her mixed with her wet...shall i carry on mixing some in with her new purley?the mean content is around 50% with the purley

We used to feed our two Purely from pets at home as well. I never mixed it with anything and if she is happily scoffing it down, I'd leave it as it is, unless she particularly likes the mince being added. If its just normal mince with no added vitamins or anything for her I'd definitely leave it out as otherwise you are effectively watering down the intake of all the nutrients she needs such as taurine.

Glad you found something she loves - it can be hard to keep up with their likes and dislikes sometimes lol

No harm in adding it in then, if she likes it, why not! Sounds like that is raw food so it may be worth looking at raw feeding long term. There are loads of posts on here to do with raw feeding. Depends on whether it suits your lifestyle really, but it is the most natural diet for them I believe. In retrospect I wish I'd looked at it sooner, but never mind, they do okay and are spoilt rotten anyway.

Main thing for now is she's eating!! She'll grow so quickly, I was really shocked how quickly mine grew - I wanted them to stay kittens as long as possible lol
