Hello! I'm Luc and this is my 5 month old Bengal, Hazel. We've had her for about 2 months now and love her to death. We also have a 10 year old miniature pinscher (more my wife's dog than mine) who Hazel loves to terrorize. She appears to have bonded very much with myself (sleeping in my lap as I type). She's very well socialized and confident but I do have a small concern with her weight. I know you're generally supposed to feed kittens whenever they're hungry but Hazel is now 6.8 pounds (3.1 kg). This seems exceptionally large for a 5 month old female. Should I be concerned or does she look a healthy weight? Thanks!

OMG, Hazel is stunning! Congratulations. Great contrast with the rosettes! From the pictures, it appears she is at an ideal weight. She's on a leash, so you're walking her, which is great exercise for her. Yes, she's still growing, but she should still get the amount of food for a normal kitten. I'd feed her at least 3-4 meals a day. She is just such a gorgeous bengal.

Thank you! I was just a tad worried because I see posts from people here with full grown female bengals that are 6 pounds. She seems proportionate to me but 7 pounds seems huge for 5 months. My friend has an 8 month female Maine coon that's only 6 pounds lol.

She's a beauty. Mine was just under 3kg at 5 months so yours is a healthy weight.
