Hello!
Im new to the forum, stumbling across it as I google searched some advice on introducing my Bengal to a new addition to the family who will be joining us in about 4 weeks time.

A little about me, I have always loved animals, growing up with them as a child, having cats and dogs and rabbits (even goldfish haha!)
Now growing up, my grandma's always had Persians, my mother loves her Maine Coon's and my father has had his Russian blue. When I turned 19 (Now 21), I had saved up enough money (and after doing a lot of research and reading) decided to get myself a Bengal boy named Tommy. Hes a lovely boy, always has been and very well behaved. Hes a brown marble boy (initially I had gone to view his brother who was brown spotted, but fell in love with him!). He is now 2 years old (turned 2 in march) and even though he has grown up with my mothers Maine Coon Midnight hes very territorial. We have sadly lost Midnight and he is now the only cat in the house, don't get me wrong he is spoilt and loved and everything but he does sit in her bed and meow, oddly. His behaviour has gotten a lot better (maybe hes dealing with the loss?) but I decided a while ago I wanted another cat. Not too replace her in any way, never, just for company for myself and tommy. now after looking for a while I stumbled upon a very unique kitten, a charcoal Bengal. I went to view him, and he left his mark in my heart (yeh yeh cheesy I know). I put down a deposit for him, and pick him up in a month when hes 12 weeks old. His names Kai (it just felt right! haha) and hes a very bouncy eccentric little character. Now I spoke to the breeder and she has been very helpful in terms of introducing them, but any extra help and advice would be appreciated. I want them to get along, and hopefully they will, but only time will tell.

And heres pictures of them both (:

Welcome to the forum! Your marble is just gorgeous -- and that kitten is super adorable! They should get along great if they are introduced properly. I know you are excited. Congratulations.

Thank you Misty

and Thanks Sherry, I hope so, the breeder im getting little Kai from has been very helpful. I've been told to keep them separated for a few days, swapping beds or other items to allow them to get used to the others scent, but any other information would be highly appreciated :)

Lovely cats, and good to meet you.

The breeders advise sounds good to me, (I introduced 2 bengal kittens and an older siamese by separating them for a time and they are mostly friends, but
I'm not sure how Jaz would react to a kitten now that he is 2+ as he is so big and active, and does jump on his sister at times much to her disgust!)

I expect as yours will love the company of an active friend once they are used to each other, as you are already used to a bengal you probably
know what to expect so will be fine.

Hi!
Oh im definitely used to bengals and know exactly what to expect, Tommy was indeed a handful when he was younger (still is!)
If he wants my attention at night, he climbs my curtain and jumps of the top onto my bed, a bit like a child with a trampoline!

Im just not sure how hes going to react with a kitten much younger than him, He was used to my mothers Maine Coon Midnight, but she was much older and tommy was a little kitten when they were introduced so he grew up with her but now that he's 2 years old, and the only cat in the house and bringing another little one in I don't know what to expect from him. Only time will tell I suppose

Thanks for your reply though :)

Follow the advice of your breeder. When you are introducing them, feed them in the same general area but not right next to each other. Make sure you keep a watchful eye on them in case your older bengal gets aggressive with the kitten. And don't leave them alone together until you are certain they are best of friends.
