I find it so ironic that this little cutie pie is completely the opposite of the picture of the type of color and pattern you were looking for. The face on this charcoal is stunning!!! There will not be a lot of contract on this beauty, but you know .... who cares! You will absolutely adore him and he will adore you back. He will bring so much fun and enjoyment into your lives. Loving the pictures!! He's really grown a lot already!

Updated pictures! Only a month to go before we pick him up. He's so dark right now! What does everyone think? Charcoal brown? Any and all feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What a cutie pie. I'm guessing you're in love with him already. Definitely looks charcoal to me. Not sure he will get much lighter. I'm guessing contrast was not as important as it was in the beginning. Personality and demeanor is always what you want to look for in a kitten. Hopefully, the next month will go by quickly for you.

These are some of the other charcoals and such produced from the same parents. I believe he will still change quite a bit and have quite a bit more visible silver and dark markings and cape to create a good bit of contrast. Possibly most like the 3rd picture shown (from left to right top row) and the one directly under it. Thoughts?

All of those cats are stunning. As you can see, the parents have produced different colors of offspring, so it's really a guess as to how yours will look over time.

Few updated pictures, we're picking him up after next weekend. Excited! First one shows his pattern a little better, her camera isn't the best so the pictures don't do him justice.

He's getting even cuter! He looks like he has a kitty cat mask on.

I am certainly no expert but I would say by the look of the kittens they will not have the contrast you are looking for or the rosetted pattern. They look quit dark to me and I think you would be looking for a light background. I have had 3 bengals and will soon be collecting our fourth, sadly our silver boy we lost last year. I purchased him for a breeder who specialises in silvers (they do import all over the world if of any interest!). I would think it would be worth seeking out this type of breeder and if necessary waiting your time until a litter comes available that has what you a looking for. I totally agree that personality and character are more important but if you are not happy with the look of your fur baby it will disappoint from the start and that is unfair on the cat.
This was Harley my silver boy .... (he did not have big rosettes was more spotted )

But deff hads the wild look ...

Have you considered snows? In my opinion (and that is all it is!) they can look more 'wild like' than any of the other colours as they can look very much like the snow leopard, we have a seal lynx called Chester and his markings are by far the best of all our bengals (however they are pale to start and the markings can take a good while to develop so you would certainly need to look at the parents and previous litters and have trust in the breeder if you went down this route) here's my little snow leopard if it helps x

Whichever you choose I think best to wait your time until you find a breeder you are happy with and they will advise on a litter/kitten which is likely to have what you are looking for. Good luck xx

I have just seen there are more pages to this thread after wondering where my post had gone - I am so stupid at times !! Sorry!!
I see you have picked a lovely little guy - He has an adorable face, chubby little whisker pads and such a cute nose.
I am sure you will have many years of fun and love with him, well done, please post some updates as he grows in size and character xx
