Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself - I'm Hayley. I have always loved cats (though never previously owned one) and Bengals in particular were always my favourite - how they look and their temperament fascinated me. Over the years I have spent many hours, days, weeks, months researching about Bengals as I know they're not like your 'typical moggie'

After recently buying a house with my fiance Ray, we decided it was time to extend our little family. So after warning Ray about the amount of attention a Bengal would demand.......we bought our first Bengal last week (7th February 2015). Her name is Gracie and she is 5 in May. We bought her from a reputable breeder of Bengals, Savannahs, Maine Coons and Toygers. Gracie had been a loving mum to 3 litters and due to the husband of the breeder having a stroke recently, they felt it best for Gracie to go to a new home where she could be given all the love and attention she deserved. So after falling in love with her straight away and an hour drive home.....Gracie was soon exploring our home and I can happily say she has settled in very well.

I'm happy to answer any questions and I'm sure I will have plenty to ask in time. A massive thanks to everyone for contributing to this amazing forum.

Hayley, Ray & Gracie xx

Oh Hayley, Gracie is gorgeous! It's wonderful having an older bengal. I got mine when he was six years old. I'm so happy Gracie has settled in well. You obviously did your research. She will bring you such joy. Congratulations.

Looks like you lucked out. She must have come from a stable loving home to settle in so quickly. Our rescue cat Tai Chi has now settled in after about 9 weeks and finally our 15 year old Burmese and Tai play together, and sleep together in the same room though not in the same bed. The time we spent introducing and integrating (re: The Cat Whisperer) was well worth it, however it would have been so fab if he had settled in the first day.

I look forward to more images ~ I really liked her stance with 2 pieces of Art, though if it were Tai he'd have knocked them off the table before I captured the pose LOL

Thank you for your lovely comments.

We've now had Gracie for 1 week exactly and she never ceases to amaze me. She is so wonderful and loving. She has settled in so well - more than we ever anticipated.

Thanks again, Hayley
