Before I get into this I realize I will get a little backlash, but comment as you will. We have made a decision and have decided to get a kitten. After looking for a few months for a kitten we finally decided to look for a breeder instead and let said breeder pick the kitten for us when he came along. We found a breeder that we are more than happy with. She has a litter of kittens but the ones that weren't already reserved were under evaluation. I was contacted last week to let me know some kittens were available and one in particular would be a good fit for us. The only problem is she was waiting on color testing to come back and if he carried snow he was going to a breeder. The results came back today and he doesn't carry snow, which means he is ours! He is 6 weeks and 3 days old and he is a beautiful rosetted little boy. He comes from health screened lines and from an AMAZING breeder. We go to pick him up in mid March and will have to drive a 12 hour round trip to get him. I can't tell you how excited we are. So without further delay here is our boy Mochi.

Thank you both! He is a little stunner if I must say so myself  we are thrilled the breeder picked us for her pick male from the litter. I have a video she sent last night. Once I work out how to post it on here I will do so.

He has rosettes already, he is going to have a beautiful coat I bet. So cute and tiny. Congratulations.

Mochi

I'm not sure if this will work but this is the link to Mochi ' s video. It was taken yesterday when he was 6 weeks and 3 days. The previous picture was when he was three weeks old. He is growing so fast. I have a little over a month before I can get him.

Mochi is absolutely stunning. Look at the contrast in his pelt and rosettes. Congratulations.

I know you thought long and hard about this. This is a completely different kitty than Jasper. I hope this is a wonderful situation for you. I'm sure you learned a lot in the past and you'll be better prepared for whatever comes along this time. My only concern is with BB. If you can get the two of them to co-exist together ... that will be great. And, then there's your children. Hopefully the breeder has a few of her own and Mochi is getting used to them. Good luck! I'm in your corner.

Thank you Sherry that means a lot. Yes I have learned a lot from my past experience. I know what I did wrong and what ultimately lead to the hardest decision I have made. The breeder we chose is AMAZING and she is socializing him with children ever day. She doesn't have any of her own but she has nieces that come play with the kittens very often. She is even taking him out to places to socialize him with children and loud noises. I am 200% confident he will be ok with the kids. As far as BB, I would be lying if I said it doesn't worry me. With any animal being introduced into the home there is a chance of some sort of problem. We will start by doing introductions by the book and we are making sure BB is super spoiled (like she isn't already) in the process. I honestly think BB will be fine after some time. She is such a laid back cat, so confident in herself, and knows she owns this house. It may take a few weeks/months for us to reestablish our family unit but we will get there.

He's a beaut! Love those back markings, and the definition of his colour is quite something already!
I am sure BB will be bowled over - Just start scent swapping asap and I'm sure the intro will run smoothly...
