Hello all, new member, and 2 imminent Bengal Kittens!

Two days to go before we collect our kittens. They will be 14 weeks old, the Girl, named Freya is brown spotted, as is the boy, named Orion. The safe room is nearly ready, as is the homemade cat tree (pretty much a real tree with added platforms and 140m of Sisal added). Besides fish we have no other pets, and these two will be indoor only. Anyone have any experience with keeping Bengals out of fish tanks? We are very excited and a little nervous!

Beautiful kitties and wow that is an awesome cat tree im sure they will love it. I also am getting a bengal soon (well 10 weeks but i keep telling myself it's soon) and i also have a 4ft turtle tank with an open top so im curious to see how that gets on lol. Congratulations

I've got a girl and I named her Doris....

Any MetallicA's reference with Your Orion???

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the kitties. They are gorgeous -- as is their mum! It's wonderful when you can create your own custom cat tree. They will absolutely go crazy on it!!! There are a lot of cat owners with fish! It helps if you don't have anything to aid the cats in jumping up to it. Bengals love to jump up high. Maybe they won't even notice the fish, LOL. You'll have to keep a watchful eye on them. The only time my Raiden wants to jump up high on things like the TV is when he's not getting the attention he wants.

Awe that's a great picture with their mama. They look full of anticipation. Just wait until you get them home on their own, then the party will begin! Congratulations and enjoy.

We have fish as well but our tank has an inbuilt lid so we've never had any issues with Luna trying to get them. She does however sit on the bench beside the tank watching them!!

CASUDI That is a brillient cat tree and a fantastic look out post. If only we had higher ceilings!

MissSarah yes we have an inbuilt lid, but is in three parts and is of fairly flimsy plastic. I can't imagine it would be much of a barrier to a determined Bengal. I guess I'll have to watch them carefully and add a more robust one of needed.

Well they're settling in. They came straight out of the carrier, and explored the room. They had some Playtime then spent the rest of the afternoon sleeping. They have not eaten very much, but I'm hoping they will manage some supper after more playtime this evening. They are more beautiful than I remembered!

It is wonderful seeing them settling in nicely and exploring already. Im glad they like your home made tree. I may have to look into building myself 1 of those. Anyway congrats and hope to see more pictures as they grow
