I do not have a bengal,only a Tabby called Tabitha who adopted us after Freddie ,also a non bengal ginger tom went missing.
Anyway we have had her over a year,in that time she had to have her grotty teeth removed (cost us over £200).We don't know how old she is but we think she is about 7 or 8 (going off previous cats we have had)
Anyway we have had a black and white cat,who we thought was another female,hanging around for a couple of months. We nicknamed it Stevie as when she ran away she moved her head from side to side (like Stevie Wonder)
Anyway last weekend it was very cold so I said we cannot leave her out all night so got her in our kitchen and put a blanket down,and locked the door.She didn't make a fuss all night and in the morning let me pick it up,when is when I discovered that she had equipment and is an unneutered tom and quite young,the smell was enough,although I cannot find any spraying site.Stevie is very friendly and loves being groomed. We have been putting out in the morning but he returns when I get home from work
Tabitha or Tabs has hissed at him a couple of times when he has ventured upstairs but otherwise not attacked him
Now trying to find out who he belongs to but it seems we are now a 2 cat household again.

How long do we leave it before we can take him and have him neutered?
Tabs is neutered,well the vet said she was ,she has a nick in her ear

You could probably get him neutered directly. My boy was neutered at 10 weeks of age.

No I meant can you get a cat that is not yours neutered

If nobody comes forward to claim the kitty and you decide to keep him, by all means have him neutered! Sounds like he wants to be an outdoor cat and it's best that he not be able to continue to father thousands of kitties. Bless you for taking him in and taking care of him. Your kitties are beautiful.

Only putting him out during the day because do not want to stress Tabs too much
He is friendly,do not know where he has come from,I do not think he is feral as he loves human company
Will wait a couple of weeks before we decide anything

Stevie is still around,my mum saw him and said that he does look like he has been living rough. Will leave it another 2 weeks before we decide anything. Tabs is still showing him who is boss,not letting him out of the kitchen and giving him an evil look,but no noise or hissing, when he rubs up against either me or hubby

Put a few flyers up in the local area with his pic asking if anyone has lost a cat - Make sure they can prove ownership by photograph, though, as he seems to have been quite neglected! Has the vet scanned him to see if he is chipped?

I was in a very similar situation eight months ago. I already had a Bengal cat a boy called Percy whom I've had since a kitten and is now 18 months. He has been neutered etc.
Percy goes out for daily explore of our large wooded garden wearing his harness and leash and there is quite a lot of dense undergrowth.
Over three days he kept going back to the same spot with me having to drag him away. on closer examination there was a little grey tabby hiding in there. It took me over two weeks to coax her out with food. She was very underweight matted fur and WILD!
I put up posters asked around the neighbourhood, took pics to local vets put adverts on Facebook and after eight weeks passed no-one had claimed her.
Since then she has put on weight is now healthy, had her injections, has been spayed, microchipped and she's registered as mine!
I have called her Phoenix and she is now a lap cat preferring to stay in (the choice is hers). She is happy, healthy and very loving and best of all Percy absolutely loves her and they sleep in the same bed cwtched up together.

In our area you need to post publicly (newspaper if possible) or on notice boards ~ no response in 2 weeks and you can claim as yours.
