HI, and thank you for letting my wife and I be a part of this wonderful forum!! We just got our first Bengal a month ago. We named him Billy Joe which was the wife's Daddy's name. We've had quite a few cats in the past but boy a Bengal is a whole different breed!! Being that we just lost our last 2 cat's to what we think were coyote's we plan on keeping a much more watchful eye on Billy Joe. I'm amazed at how much attention this breed needs, or should I say DEMANDS!!! We have already bought him close to 50 toys because he becomes bored so easily. Finally got a motorized toy that looks like a feather being dragged from under a blanket and it has worked wonders....for now lol. Also letting him sit on the bathroom sink with the water running in a small stream seems to keep him intrigued for a while as well. Thanks again for your time and have happy holidays to all!!! Welcome to the forum and congratulations! We would love to see a picture of Billy Joe! Since you've already lost a couple of outdoor cats, know that your bengal can be trained to walk with a harness and leash and you can enjoy outdoor walks with him. You can also create an enclosed space in your yard (cat enclosure) so that he can enjoy the outdoors and be safe from harms way. I'm sure you spent a pretty penny to get him and allowing him outdoors will expose him to many dangers that are out there, least of all other cats who may want to tangle with him as well as wildlife that enjoy cats for dinner. A watchful eye may not be enough as male cats tend to wander farther and farther from home, expanding their territory. The best thing you can do for him is to make sure he's supervised when he's outside. Cats may like to roam the great outdoors, but they only have nine lives and they can be used up rather quickly.

Yes, please post pictures ~ and congratulations. Yes, the hot pursuit toy has worked wonders as both Tai Chi (new 2+ year old Bengal) and Braun (15 year old Burmese) play with it, one at a time while the other watches. It's become an integral part of the introduction process.

We rotate the toys, we'll hide some of them for a month or two and then swap them out with whatever they've been playing with. It seems to help keep up the interest.

Sometimes Diesel will even get bored with his daBird so I'll put it away for a week and then he's trying to open the drawer we keep it in so we can play.
