Welcome and congratulations on your new kitten.
You'll find plenty of good advice here, I'm sure.
If you pay close attention to her habits, you'll learn her characteristics and when she's about to do something you don't want her to, like climb the curtains or something. One thing you can do is distract her with a toy, or something that makes an attractive sound, like a paper bag or screwed up envelope, when she looks like she's about to do something undesirable. It may also help to clip the tips of her claws, so even if she does paw at something like curtains, she wont have sharp enough claws to actually climb them.
As benagls are an intelligent breed, it should be easy enough to train them simple things. We trained our four bengal boys not to jump up on the dining table in less than three days. Simply by scruffing them, telling them no, and putting them back on the floor. They don't have a clue what human food tastes like as they have never been given any by either the mrs or myself, and now when we eat, they show no interest at all. They have their own meal times, and know ours.
