My wife and I just adopted this beautiful 5 year old. We lost our previous cat to cancer a number of months ago and weren't sure if we were ready for another family member but this guy needed a home and we couldn't say no.

He has been with us for less then a week but has already stolen our hearts. He has a very gentle nature and loves to play. We will spoil him rotten with love and attention. His name is Sneakers and he lives up the name, he is insanely sneaky zipping around the house in full silent mode.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations. He is gorgeous! I am so happy he's found his forever home. I got mine when he was 6 years old .... and he's the sweetest, most gentle cat I've ever owned. It doesn't take long for them to steal your heart. You will not regret your decision. Enjoy the fun.

That's really great, and that's a good age for a cat too I think. Still young enough to be playful and fun and most of his life in front of him, but also a 5 year old cat knows how to be a cet and doesn't do so much of the "stupid stuff" Congrats on the new addition.

What a beautiful boy!

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! Sneakers continues to amaze me. He has been going nearly non-stop for 12 hours today. We have played for hours and hours, when we aren't playing he is watching us or performing further inspections of his new home. I finally saw a yawn out of him but he is still looking for entertainment. Today is only his 6th full day here but he has adjusted amazingly well. He had a few different homes in the past from what we were told but was clearly loved and looked after most of that time. I believe he was a breeding male initially based on the birth/registration paperwork we were given.
Six days in, hours and hours of play, we can pet him, we can pick him up, I can even rub his tummy yet neither my wife nor myself have a single mark from a claw. We got a scratching post with him and he runs over and uses it instead of using the couch etc. I never dreamed we could find a cat that is just so fun and wonderful from the second he arrived. He certainly has found his forever home.

He's beautiful! Thank you for giving him a home.
