Hello everyone,
recently a cat showed up on our deck. She was there for a few days, laying in the sun like she owned the place. She looked emaciated, so we gave her some food. She kept coming back, and did not seem feral, so one day we let her into the house. That is the day she adopted me.
We took her to the vet, to get her checked and to see if she was spayed and if she was chipped. She was not spayed, and not chipped. The vet said she was a bengal, and was surprised that she was apparently abandoned. We called all the veterinary offices in the area, the human society, the shelter, the pet food stores, and sent them all pictures to find her owner. Nobody ever claimed her, so now she is mine. She is a beautiful reddish brown color, with green eyes.
When we got her, she had some kind of a skin condition, but with some Zyrtec it is almost completely gone. We should be able to get her spayed soon, and then hopefully her hair will grow back ... so far the area where they shaved to look for a scar has stayed bald.
Her and our dogs (black labs) are working on their living arrangements, but she is pretty good at keeping them in line. We are spoiling her rotten, just as we do with all our pets, and she has decided that I am her person and she follows me wherever I go.
Some pictures are attached. They really don't do her justice, her color is more red than the pictures show.
