New to the forum thought I would say Hi! I have a 3month old male Siamese x Bengal called Skips who is hyper all the time and jumps on and bites my 4year female Angora x ragdoll called Leia ! who is so layed back compared to Skips I fill sorry for her, need to find a way to stop Skips biteing us and Leia all the time if anyone has any ideas to help would love to hear them.

Aww, beautiful kitty. Congratulations. You have to remember there is quite the age difference and one is a very young kitten who is hyper active and overly curious. Eventually, your little one will become bigger and more settled.

Two things:

1. Skips has a need to jump and bite. You have to acknowledge that, and find an appropriate outlet for that, and teach him between what is an appropriate way to do it, and what is not.

2. It will take some time for your cat to learn, so in the meantime, you may get scratched up a bit. It's part of owning an active, playful kitten.

Basically you want to give the kitten a lot of appropriate play. Toys to "hug and kick", fishing rod types of toys (like da'bird) that will let your kitty hunt, pounce, catch bite etc., in an appropriate way, and make sure that you never make your hands, arms part of the hunting game. And when he does attack you, give him a "timeout" or redirect it to a toy (if you can). Pretty soon he will learn that it is funner for him to engage in the appropriate play. As far as the ragdoll, that is a bit tougher. To some degree they will have to work it out.

Hi thanx for your replys Skips has loads of toys and a tall cat tree and we play with him with the fishing rod toys. Dont know if you can see the glitter in his coat as had to reduce the pic as could not post the size I had.opps the pic is upside down!
