Hey there! I'm new to this forum and am bringing home my first bengal in February!

I am very excited. We are still trying to figure out which diet to put him on so I've been doing my research! Here's a kitty pic...

hi christine, welcome to the forum :D

don't worry too much about which diet at this stage. first of all, he will need to be on whatever food he is used to at the breeder's until he gets settled. after that, any change should be made very gradually over a few weeks. it's not worth messing about with his diet while he is so little, they can have sensitive tummies & at such a young age you don't want to inadvertantly trigger off any problems

his breeder should provide you with a guide to his current feeding regime.

very exciting, bet you can't wait :D

Thank you!! Yes I'm very impatient! LOL

Thanks for the tip...we plan on keeping him on his current diet of Purina Kitten Chow for a few weeks....then gradually introduce him to a better brand.

We have a dog as well, and he is on Timberwolf. The lady I buy his food from has been very helpful in telling me about their different cat foods.

Hi Christine,
Welcome to the forum. What a beautiful boy he is,!! I was excited when I got my little one 6 weeks ago, :D
Diet wise, mine came with some Hill kitten dry food, so we kept him on it, which he seems to like, but just for a break we give him a odd packet of Hills kitten meat, or applause. He seems to have took to these meaty treats really well.

All the very best with you new lad
