We just got our first bengals (sisters) after a long 10+ week wait after first meeting them and falling in love. 6 days in and we couldn't be happier.

We spent a lot of time with the girls over the time waiting for them to get to 13 weeks, visiting multiple times and building up a relationship with them (and the whole couple of litters) over five or six visits, and it paid off, in that they knew us on the day we turned up to take them home, and has continued into our home with the two of them being the most lovely and affectionate kittens you could ever hope for.

I do know (after a few months of reading!) that you guys love pics so have attached some. Selina is the melanistic, and Kasumi is the smoke.

There are so many colors and types of bengals that include "smoke." Sounds like this breeder may have charcoal bengals which also contain the melanistic gene. Since these beautiful kitties are siblings and charcoal is pretty rare (as are the melanistics), these are extra special and super gorgeous kitties.

I really like the dark.

Oh they are just adorable!!!! And you can see how much they love each other.

Its very rare we get a smoke or a melanistic on the forum, so seeing your beautiful kitties is a treat to everyone! They are stunning and very unique! Please keep the pictures coming I am anxious to see how they develop.

They do love each other very much. Spend more time with each other than they do with their parents. Most of the time when they want a cuddle with us, it's both of them at once. Or when they really need to see what I'm doing at the kitchen worktop...they both need to climb up my back and sit on my shoulder...which isn't always convenient, especially now that they're growing up!

I'd wanted bengals for quite a while but wasn't too fussed about colour. More temperament. So it made sense to go for something a bit different than a lot of the brown/silver striped/rosetted that you tend to see. The classic bengals, I suppose. Will be really interesting to see their markings when they're fully grown, though I don't expect Selina's black coat will change too much having seen her melanistic father, who is just like a mini panther physique and all.

Not at all. We got them from Low Generation Bengals based in Suffolk, UK.

They've only been going for a year or so I think, but have some beautiful cats. All of their kittens are raised in the home with the family, so they're very heavily socialised, which I think we're benefiting from now. While our two are only really interested in cuddles when it suits them, they'd much rather be in the same room as us than not, even if they're only planning to get up to mischief! And when they want cuddles, it's of the kind where they will just come and plant themselves on you and start purring, which is lovely.
