Hi Everybody,

We have a beautiful boy called Enzo.

This is the first time we have ever had a Bengal, he's our first pet together (we've been together for 8 years), both our families have always had cats and dogs.

We knew going into this that he would be more intelligent, more vocal and more playful than the ordinary feline and boy oh boy does he need attention and play time :)

He was born on 14th of April 2013 so he's a little bit over a year old now. My other half is a Veterinary Nurse and has liked the temperament and breed of these for some time, so we made the commitment.

At first it was quite daunting as the poor guy was meowing all the time, almost like he was moaning or crying out for such a long time, he'd be waking us up at all hours etc.

He settled down and is now probably above average on the vocal side but he just wants to talk to you, whenever you open your mouth, he's wanting a chat :) and a play and some food, and some more play haha

After a short while with him we would never want to let him go and we always make sure he comes first for plans when we have to go away or will be out the house for long time.

I work from home so he's my buddy that's with me all day.

We want to try and start walking him on a harness, we have put it on him and at first he wasn't so sure but 5 minutes later and he couldn't care less!

Anyway, I look forward to speaking with you all and getting some nice tips on other things we can get him engaged with.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who lets the cat play with the iPad lol. I've got the Pocket Pond (original not HD) app on both my phone and iPad and he LOVES it. When he touches it the water splashes and he can watch the fish swim around. If it's on my phone he'll take the phone and flop all over the bed playing with it so it makes more sounds.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations! Your baby is just beautiful! Bengals are challenging as they are like no other breed of cat. As you've found, they are highly vocal. I'm so happy you've gotten him to walk with a harness and leash. My Raiden loves to go on his daily walk. I know you will get years of enjoyment and fond memories.

We love him so so so so much and don't know what we'd do without his meowing and company now. He's definitely part of our family for life :) and we'll do everything and anything to make sure he's happy and well looked after!
