Hi everyone!
As I'm writing this I'm on my way to pick up my new bengal girl. (Well, train will arrive at 10:40am, and I'm picking her up at 16:30pm, but who cares, I'm on my way!) I am so excited about this it's insane! I have been waiting for around a month now!
So, who am I then? I'm just a swedish girl studying to become a software engeneer. I'm obsessed with cats and can't keep away from cat forums to save my life! I've had cats for most of my life. Mostly house cats. Wilma, a 13year old black and white lady that has always been loved dearly lives with my mother now, but used to be mostly my cat. When I left to stydy abroad for a year she got much closer to mum. They have a great life together now :D
I live alone, with a cat already. I've got a boyfriend who is adorable (you should se how cute he is with my kitty!) and resently tested negative for cat allergy (score!!).
On to the cats! (who cares about the silly humans anyways?)
The girl I'm getting is a retired queen of 1year and 10 months old. Her name is Ponyo, and she's had 2 little furry boys. She is from a line very dear to the breeder. I feel honored to be the one to get to take care of her and love her for forever!
I have been to visit once. I promised mom I was going to take lots and lots of pictures, but she was so stunning I forgot! She was very nice, curious and soft, but a bit timid in the environment (and there were some problems between her and another queen). It is going to be so exciting to se how she will settle down at my place :D
I live in an apartment, not tiny, but certinly not big. its 45sqm. I have a big tree, with a tall pole for climbing. I also have quite a lot of height and plan to build climbingshelves across the livingroom wall. I also have a very nice wide windowshell and have installed some birdfeeding outside the window, the live tv has been approved of the cat I already have.
So my other cat is an overly social, quite playfull ragdoll of 11 months that I call Emmy. He's absolutely the sweetest ever, but quite lonely :( I live very close to school, so I'm home for lunch almost every day, yet he's very lonely. So he needs a friend. I hope it will go well.
According to the breeder Ponyo is more curious and tricky than hyper and Emmy is still young, so he can probably be conditioned to play more, so I think they will get along just fine. Also, Emmy really needs someone to play catch with! I don't think I make a really appropriate substitute to a cat!
Ponyo is currently eating Royal Canin. She'll get to do that for a few weeks, then I'm going to transition her to raw. I have just started to feed Emmy raw, and he's in heaven! It was much easier, cheaper and more convenient to feed raw than I thought it was going to be! (and don't worry, it's all calculated and contains all the appropriate nutrients for a cat
)
Yeah, so. Hi there forum! It's nice to finally say hello!
This is Wilma. So dear to my heart!
This is Emmy, my pride and joy <3
And you'll have to wait approximately 8h for pictures of Ponyo! (yes, I'm that evil!)
