My advice is to have patience. So many people get a bengal kitten and then expect it to fit right in ... become settled immediately and that usually doesn't happen. The kitty may be timid and want to crawl in a corner somewhere. Limit the kitty to just one room in the beginning for eating, playing and a litterbox. Let it get used to you and the smells. After all, this is all so new to him/her. As the cat gains confidence, allow the cat to explore other rooms. You will need to "baby proof" your house because having a bengal is like having a two-year-old child. Be prepared for a lot of vocalizing from the bengal. Sometimes they don't shut up! LOL. Don't always expect cuddles and a lap cat unless you can train them as a kitten. Mine does not want to be picked up or placed on a lap. As with any cat, they do things on their schedule. Hopefully, all will go well with you and you will enjoy many, many years and lots of memories with your new kitty. Congratulations. Your new baby is beautiful.
