Hey everyone, first time owner here. Here's my little guy Dexter I just got and couldn't be happier. He's super cuddly and affectionate and love him. Seems as though he's camera shy though!

He's 10 weeks old. Originally I was getting him at 12, but the mother started neglecting her litter, so we figured there wasn't much more point to keep him there.

Oh and you're probably wondering, in 2 weeks I'm taking it back to the breeder to get its shots and neutering done, as for obvious reasons I had already payed for then even though I got my little guy early.

:D I figured there had to be a few Canadians around here. I got him from Bengal Castle, i was also in talks with a lady from Rideau Lake Bengals as well but I just didn't have the time to get out an hour out of town, especially when I don't have a vehicle.

Hi, I too am in Canada, Alberta though. I got my Bengal from Ontario. He was extremely sick when I got him and I did look into the breeder prior to my decision. He was on a dry high quality food until he ended up with serious case of struvite chrystals which seems to be a common problem with the breed. After being on a prescribed wet food for three years I'm happy to say he's on a high quality wet food with 78% moisture, higher acid as struvites are caused by alkiline urine. Another thing too keep the PH where they should be is adding cranberry powder to his food. Since you are new at keeping Bengals I would rather you not to run into these problems. My Bengal is Toffee and he is 4. He is completely in love with my daughter so when she went to college he was miserable...I'm happy to say we share Toffee because she just moved into her own place and he's lived there for 2 months and he's happy...Congratulations on you new member of the family... Bye the way you don't own a Bengal!!!! They own You!!!! :)

Thanks for the welcome everyone, and thanks for the advice Ayleiah, it's always scary when stuff like that happens, having a cat or any animal companion is like having a second child.

BTW Diablo is beautiful!
