Hi All!!

I'm relatively new to the site and would just to like to say what an amazing place this is!! It's comforting to see how "normal" our nutters are in comparison to other bengals on this site.

My OH and I have two 10 month old Bengals - Khaan and Hobbes whom we bought in June 2007. We both agree they are the best purchase we have ever made. Khaan is very beautiful (not that I'm biased obviously! ) with a big spotty belly who loves nothing more than laying on the sofa upside down sleeping. Hobbes, on the other hand, is a very active little green eyed monster who is ALWAYS on the go and ALWAYS in trouble. He'll sit at the sink and demand that we turn on the taps so he can have a drink  and he'll play with anything that is not nailed down. It came as a shock one day to come home to find toilet roll trailing from the bathroom all the way down the stairs to the front door! There was Hobbes just sitting there with a big grin on his face - so very naughty!!

Anyhow, it's lovely to meet you all and here's to loads of bengal madness in 2008!!

Hi Fantasmorical!

Yep - they sure do keep us on our toes. I'll have a word with the OH and see if we can figure out how to upload some pictures. Getting them both to sit still and pose for a decent shot is proving to be a bit of a challenge...........

Ha! Ha! He probably did and I have to say he looked far cutier than any Andrex puppy. I caught Hobbes climbing up the chimney last week and only noticed where he was when I saw the very end of a stripey tail hanging down. He was covered in soot and all you could see were these big green (or should I say red!) eyes looking back at me. He's so very naughty but he is loved so much for all of his mischief (and he knows it!)

Chimneys must be a Bengal thing. I recently had a new gas fire fitted and there were a few minutes when the old fire was out and the new one wasn't in so the chimney was open. Even though me and the plumber were both close by, Lily suddenly disappeared up the chimney. Luckily the plumber got hold of her in time and dragged her down - he reckons she could have got all the way to the top because there are little ledges all the way up and she was only small (about 5 months) at the time.

Hi there,

I have finally worked out how to post pictures of our boys. The first one is Hobbes when we first got him. The basket was his favourite spot. He really was the runt of the litter when we got him and was tiny compared to Khaan, who is only a week older than him.

This one is of Khaan a few months ago. I will post a picture of his beautiful spotty belly when I can get him to stay still long enough to take a photo. :D
