I completely believe in neuter/spay. My daughter and her friends volunteer for our local humane society. I've adopted and I've bought my cats. I do see any good in keeping the cat intact.

Here is a photo of Yeti now. He will be six years old in a couple of months. He changes colour depending on the light because of his diamond glitter that reflects the light. In bright light he is light and in shadow he is dark with dark spots. He's very healthy and happy and gives me a lot of love and attention. He puts me to bed every night by rubbing my tummy with his tail and then goes to sleep on my feet to keep them warm.

What gorgeous boy. I've enjoyed looking at these past posts to see his development.

Yeti looks so proud here. He is a bit faded because of the light reflecting. You can see on his right the colour shows darker but he is really all the same colour. His egyptian eye makeup is great and he has a nice golden neckchain in his fur.

His blue eyes that came from the siamese albino genes were what hooked me in the very beginning and although they were much more pale then, that was how I chose. Now they are much more blue and whenever I look into them I fall in love all over. We comunicate with body language and winking eyes and tongue sticking out. I was in the petsmart the other day and was looking at the gerbils and the rats and stuff and I winked at them an they winked back at me and seemed to wake right up.

Of course he is very vocal and I mimic his sounds when we talk. He has his special sounds, his gurgling and even his "Cranky Kitty" sounds. We are very close and he is always right beside me. It's very strange though that he refuses to sit on my knee and although I keep putting him up there he sits for only two seconds and then jumps off but he sits on other people's laps. And he even sits there and gives me dirty looks.

I agree with other opinions expressed here that he will live a healthier and happier life if you have him neutered.

Also, unless he breeds regularly, he will be subject to uncontrollable drives and can turn on you and other animals. That makes you, living in a residential area, legal liable for anything that might happen.

Well, actually even though Yeti looks big and tough he is actually a big chicken. He is afraid to go outside and has only ever been outside twice in his life, once when I brought him home in the car and once when he went to the vet to get his needle. He screamed all the time he was outside the house and his scream is loud. He also avoids anybody that comes to the house and will only touch my roommate other than me.

The only time he has ever seen another animal in the house other than a mouse which he kills is when my idiot friend brought a tiny chihuahua for a visit and set it down. Yeti was instantly in attack mode and crouched and stalked and was just ready to lunge and the dog was up on the chair in a second shivering. He just thought it was dinner. I made my friend take the dog and leave.

When I read all the threads in the Bengal forum about problems I realize that compared to that list Yeti is really well adjusted. Yes he does smell bad if we wrestle and his musk comes out and it will make your eyes water but it doesn't last and quickly changes to a smell like vetiver perfume. He pees in his box and we have two litter boxes. One that I clean regularly and one that I purposefully seldom clean in the basement. I guess when he smells it he decides that is enough of a marking and he doesn't pee anywhere else. He gets a bit cranky when there is a full moon and goes in the basement and howls but I howl and he comes right back upstairs and we cuddle and he relaxes. He does sometimes stalk me and circles me and grabs my hairy arm and gives a love bite at those times but if I don't pull away it would not break the skin and is quite gentle. He shakes his bum to spray his musk sometimes in the spring and fall but doesn't pee and it goes away quickly.

The felaway spray really calms him and if I forget to use it he often runs back and forth in the upstairs hallway to let me know something is wrong and I spray a bit and he soon calms down. When I come home from work I do not smell the cat and visitors coming to the house don't smell the cat.
