Hi All,
My name's Stu, and my partner Tamzin and I now have our first Bengal kitten, unoriginally as it turns out, named Loki. We got him 3 weeks ago, aged 11 weeks from a fantastic family who breed Bengals down Telford way. Will ask Tam to put up some pictures of him as photography really isn't one of my skills, particularly with a fast moving bengal! So far, he is absolutely amazing. It's been 15+ years since I last had a kitten, and the energy levels he has are incredible. I have a 3 storey house, and was foolishly worried about him being too young to be able to get up and down the stairs..... oh how wrong I was!
So far, in three weeks, he has learning to come when called, play fetch, sit, wear his harness and walk on a lead, although so far, only indoors. It is just astounding how quickly he learns new things. Did a lot of research on Bengals before getting one, and know that many people claim them to be dog-like, but so far, he learns quicker than any dog I have known, and walks better on the lead!
I live close to a motorway, so had already decided that any cat we got would have to be a house cat, which is why we started looking along the Bengal / Savannah lines, as if it was going to be a house cat, I wanted something a bit more than just a moggy, and absolutely made up with him, definitely the right cat at the right time (and at the right price!). We looked at other bengals and savannahs that were available before we got him, but none were just right, except for Loki.
Will try to get some pictures up soon.
Stu
