Hello, my name is Amanda and I recently got a new kitty to add to our family that we named Sparta. He is the most amazing little guy ever. From the very beginning I was always curious of his markings. The more we get to see his personality, the more it makes me wonder if he is in the Bengal family so I figured the best place to go was to a Bengal forum so here we are. Just some of the things about his personality that makes me wonder, he is extremely vocal more so than any other cat I've ever been around and I've owned 4. He is super cuddly, and loves being up on my shoulders or somewhere high. He loves water and will play in the sink if I am doing dishes or giving my children a bath. His fur is so soft, almost like a rabbits fur or something, not like a usual cat. So, if anyone could give me their opinions I would greatly appreciate it!

Very handsome boy! He could have a bit of Bengal in him, or he could be all Bengal. You can never know for sure without the pedigree papers.
As it stands, you have a gorgeous tabby who has similar markings to a marbled Bengal. I would have expected a lot more definition to his tummy markings as a full pedigree, even when he was in 'the fuzzies'.

The real question is - Where did you get him, and how did the seller come by him? That may hold the key to his lineage....
Also, IF he was a full Bengal, I would have expected him to be at least @£300+..... with papers to follow upon the snip!

He looks like he could possibly have some Bengal in him but, unfortunately, there is no way to tell.

I believe you have tried to post some pictures of his spotty tummy and black paw pads... there is a lot of mis-information on the web that will tell you that these mean he must be part bengal... instead they are both found in the common tabby cat patterns which include bengals.

Personality can be an indicator of a particular breed but it does not define a breed, if you know what i mean. It is more a useful tool in deciding whether a particular breed is suitable to your home and family than used as an identification tool.... My bengal was at the back of the queue for his personality as he is not remotely Bengal like. My Tonkinese boy displays more of the bengal personalities.

He looks like a very cute boy and certainly has a big personality. It would be lovely if you would stick around, this is a great forum to learn about cats health, nutrition and socialisation... welcome

Thank you for the replies. We actually got him off a local website. The previous owner came upon a hardship apparently and had to find him a new home. So, I'm not quite sure where he came from. They couldn't have had him for long before we got him because he is only 13 weeks old. We love him to death and it doesn't matter to us what breed he is, just wasn't sure if he was Bengal or partially if there was anything special he needed such as diet and such as I have never owned one. But thank you again for the welcome and opinions!

Diet wise, Bengals need no special diet at all. They are just domestic cats like any other cat breed.

Lots on here feed their cats, Bengal or other breeds, a raw diet so it is as close to how cats would eat in the wild. Failing that, a high protein wet food.

Kittens are best being rehomed at 12/13 weeks as they get all the socialisation from mom and siblings plus are fully vaccinated. I struggle to understand how someone can be struggling financially to keep a 13 week old kitten when they can't have had him that long Weird and slightly irresponsible of them... their loss is your gain though He won't be full bengal if his 2nd home came at 13 weeks old i bet. Even bengal crosses sell for £100's usually so, unless you paid a fair bit for him, i would imagine he isn't a bengal cross (one that somebody purposefully bred). However, any moggie cat by definition is a mixed breed so he could have any genes, it's entirely possible he has some bengal somewhere.
