I have been a lurker for what seems like forever, must be about a year now. I joined up to learn more about the breed as my fiance and I were interested in getting a couple of Bengal kittens.
However, that all changed as for many reasons we decided to put the Bengals on hold for a while and instead we adopted 2 moggies from our local Cats Protection. We have Elise and Elsa, almost identical twin sisters who will be two next March. I say almost identical because there is a difference if you look at them direct (mostly) but at a fleeting glance we struggle to tell them apart by looks alone, the easiest way to tell is to stroke them or pick them up as they have different responses. I swear they try and trick us by changing places, ones favourite sleeping place can suddenly become the other within 24 hours, often I have done a double take because I have realised the cat isnt the cat I thought it was!!!
Although we don't currently own Bengals I am always lurking on here because we hope one day to bring a Bengal into our lives. In the future when our two have sadly passed on, we will think about a Bengal and a Siamese kittens, a few months apart. This is of course if my husband to be still puts his foot down about having more than two, I would happily have a houseful of cats, all breeds and ages..think we would need a bigger house though! I would love to go back to Cats Protection and adopt and oldie who nobody wants just so that it can spends its last few years in a home being loved instead of being in a pen.
I have decided to finally make an appearance as there have been many posts I feel I can contribute to but never really did due to not owning a Bengal.
So here I am and hello
Maybe one day I can share a Bengal with you but in the meantime I will mainly lurk and learn with a few posts in between
