I am now owned by a male ,neutered,snow leopard bengal not quite 8 months old, and a DSH, also male and neutered, just under 2 yrs old, I have not quite learned cat, especially bengal, still thinking dog way and I have a question about pooping in the litter box and girdia, which he had and had been treated 2 weeks ago. I did not find your post until today as i was on holiday for a few weeks and only had intermittent internet.

Can i ask how a diagnosis of Giardia was determined? Also, how is his poo?

The reason i ask is that there is a parasite out there called Tritrichomonas Foetus (TF) that is, unfortunately, quite common in bengals. It is rarely tested for by vets as they believe, incorrectly, that it is very rare. It requires a special test which is done by PCR or QPCR. Vets cannot do this test onsite so will need to send the sample away to a specialist lab. You can get false negatives from testing poo too soon after any worming or antibiotic treatment so must wait at least 7 days after finishing any treatment. TF is intermittently shed so you must sample poo from several motions. TF can look like giardia to a person not familiar with TF so you could be looking at a misdiagnosis.... However, having one parasite does not necessarily mean another one is not present as well.
