Hi all,
I'm very pleased after three years of wanting to own a Bengal that I picked up my gorgeous 'Rani' on Sunday.
She's 11 weeks old and is quite a character already! Off to the vets with her on Friday to get her checked over etc.
I have a 10 year old tabby too, 'Tiggy'. He was a Cats Protection mog about 5 years ago.
So far I've read a fair few threads on here and other forums, including a lot of info on nutrition... cant believe the rubbish in felix and the like.
I've been out and purchase James Wellbeloved dry food and got some wet just to add in every so often.
I've read about the need to separate the water from the food, so done that and Rani is quite happy at the moment playing, knows where her food and water is and using the litter just fine.
I've ordered this cat tree:

So far I have swopped a few items round to let each one get used to the others scent.
Yesterday I left the doors open so that they could see each other from a distance... they just sat there and looked at each other
Today, I encouraged them to get closer to each other... they just hissed at each other and Tig ran away... he's a soft sod! Since then, I've just left the hall doors open so they can both see through.
I'm now at the stage where Tig wont go through and Rani stays in the back bedroom. When Tig goes outside I will pick up Rani and take her into the lounge and try to play with her, letting her sniff around, however after a few minutes she runs back to the bedroom.
I know patience is a key factor and its only been three days... however, can anyone give me any advice on how best to introduce them?
