I accidentally found this forum when goggling about Bengal cats and I can say I am absolutely delighted!!!
Me and my boyfriend have always been more dog orientated. However, living in London and often travelling, we always knew we could not look after a dog.
This summer I spent 2 months back home and I loved my sister’s cat, so I finally decided to get one.
I came across the person whose Egyptian Mau cat had kittens with a black domestic cat as a father.
His name is Mau (5 months old) and he is absolutely gorgeous, he has each and every characteristic of a Bronze Mau!!!!!
I just know I could not live my life without him. After just one month with us; we love him so much that now he is priority, in both mine and my boyfriend’s life.
But, we felt cruel taking him away from his family and about 8 cats, especially when we are getting ready to got work – we just couldn’t bear his sad little face.
So…we decided to get him a little girl – gorgeous brown spotted/rosetted Bengal (Benga, 3 months old)
All our friends think we are crazy going from people with no cats to suddenly owning 2 very playful little kittens –we do not even need the TV anymore, as we get lots of entertainment from both.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to everyone and, I am sure I will enjoy my trip through your forum.

Hello from Mau & Bengal too! I will post their pictures once I learn how to).

Welcome here ;), to you and both of your cats :D.

We're waiting for the photos

Quick tip :

1. Upload your image (not too big, 640 pixel large maximum) on an host site like imageshack, photobucket, hiboox... (there are loads of them, I usually use imageshack) : you just have to select it on your computer, tick "resize image" and select the size if necessary, and then click on "upload".
2. Wait for a new page to appear with url adresses
3. Copy either a link beginning with [img](not%20the%20thumbnail,%20the%20other%20one,%20can%20be%20called%20"bbcode%20for%20forum")%20or%20the%20"direct%20link"%20and%20then%20paste%20it%20in%20your%20message.%20If%20you%20put%20the%20"direct%20link",%20highlight%20it%20and%20then%20click%20on%20the%20"img"%20square%20above%20the%20answering%20square%20:%20it%20must%20put%20your%20link%20between%20[img]%20and[/img] ;)

Hi norina

I must admit, myself and my husband are just like you.

With 2 children we have always had dogs however, one afternoon Hallie, our daughter who was 6 at the time saw some kittens for sale and asked if she could have one. We decided that there was no reason why not, so we said yes. The kittens advertised had actually been sold so we started looking in the local paper and the internet.

After Googling 'kittens for sale' we came across a picture of a Bengal and immediately fell for it. After lots more Googling and phoning around we found our Rolo who is our neuter boy. 3 weeks later I decided that I wanted to breed these amazing cats. We now have 6 (4 beautiful queens, our stud Pheonix and Rolo).

Just like yourself our electricity bill is so low now as we constantly play with the cats!! Our families all think we are mad too however we feel its the best find ever. We wouldnt change them for the world.

Enjoy your cats!

Thank you for your welcome replies, I feel so guilty for not answering sooner.
I never thought that two little kittens will keep me this busy.
Since my last post, we had to deal with so many things.
Mau has been neutered, Benga had lots of stool problems and we have been back and forth to the vet. Then, Mau got diarrhoea also, which lasted almost two weeks.
We just finished giving them both a course of antibiotics, oh boy, did they hate it. Their stool samples have been sent to the lab for testing and we are awaiting the results. Luckily, they never lost they playful mood and have been entertaining us threw-out.
Oh, I started decorating and I can say, they are great little helpers with stripping the wallpaper!

Thanks to AnnC’s easy step guide to posting photos you can all see how beautiful they are. (Oh, they are so naughty too! :D )
