Hi, first time Bengal Owner here, Just thought i'd drop in and introduce myself to you all. We are your typical 2.4 family, living in Kent. We have lots of experince with cats but have never previously owned a Bengal. In June we rehomed out first Bengal cat a 4 1/2 year old Black Bengal female (ex breeding cat) called Sasha as a family pet. She's settled in very well, such a confident and dare I say it....."diva like" little lady is probably the most accurate way to describe her. We all love her to bits
We wanted a companion for her so have just adopted one of the reamaining few kittens from her last ever litter. She's a silver spotted Bengal and just under 6 months old. We have Called her Storm. Storm too seems to be settling into her new home fairly well and has developed a fair bit of her mother's outgoing personality.
We're quite an animal heavy family as we also have 3 dogs.
We've managed to fully introduce Sasha to the dogs and given her free reign of the house now but we're still taking things slowly with the kitten. She's mainly in my elder son's room during the day. We have a crate set up in the living room where she can go for short bursts in the day time to familiarise her with the dogs and in the evening she has free reign of the house with her mummy (dogs are in the garden for most of that time).

What kind of dogs? Other pets too?
. One is 13 months and we're not sure exactly what breed she is. We rescued her after she was thrown from the back of a moving van on the A2 in London. My OH took her to battersea to get checked out thankfully she was ok physically and they thought she may be husky X akita but i'm not so sure. Definately a lot of northern spitz breed in her (double coat, snow shoes, curled up tail, heavy shedding/blowing coat twice a year) but I can see GSD quite clearly in the mix too (although she lacks any guarding/protection aspects to her personality). Our youngest is going to be 11 months old tomorrow and he is a husky. I was a bit concerned at first as husky's are known for their high prey drive (he's always been fine with our existing cat but you can't take it for granted that this will be the same for all cats) usually if cats are introduced to them when they're pups, you stand a good chance of success. I joined a husky forum last year and got some good advice and tips from other members who have both Cats and Huskies before I agreed to rehome Sasha. Lastly we have 1 longhaired white and black cat who is 19 years old, we have had since he was 7 and he's my baby. Sadly his health has recently started to deteriorate quite rapidly and after calling the vet we agreed that I will take him in and together we can check him over physically and assess his quality of life. I'm starting to tear up just thinking about it but I know that it's something I have to do for him.
