I don't have a Bengal (yet!) but have always always wanted one. They are soooooooo beautiful... I like the fact that they are enough like dogs to be interesting, but not so much to be annoying

Bengals are very dog like but dont think for one second that a Bengal is not going to be annoying because although I love BB more than anything I will be the first to tell you as kittens they can and will be annoying. She is a little older now at 6 months and has grown out of some of her annoying ways but then again she has found what pushes my buttons and does so when she wants my attention! They are amazing beautiful cats and I think they are the most amazing breed but like all animals all breeds they have annoying habbits , some would say Bengals have more than most other cats!

They can be super annoying. There not going to lick you like a dog or jump up or hump your leg. But forget about nice stuff on shelves or sleep or using a computer alone.

or taking a shower or using the bathroom or cooking washing clothes!!!! anything involving running water!!!! You will have a bengal by your side! Going to the bathroom is a social event with a bengal!!! She sits on the sink to watch everyone do their bussiness and heaven forbid you shut the door! It sounds like someone is trying to kill her on the other side as she screams and throws herself at the door!!! Its funny to me but everyone else is annoied by it! Little devil kitty! Oh and if you have plants inside go ahead and throw them out!!

They are lovely but don't be fooled, they can be annoying.

Mine took the cake this morning. I woke up to one of them chewing on a curtain cord they had ripped down :/ Technically this was my boyfriend's fault, as we know they play with the cord and so put it out of reach, but he forgot to do this. The cord is now ruined, so I punished my boyfriend by playing Da Bird with the cats on the bed...while said boyfriend was still sleeping in it.

I then noticed the cats had knocked over and broken a picture frame in the night.

I then noticed one of them had knocked some of their poo out of the litterbox and it was now squished into the carpet!!!

But when they come up to you and purr and all is forgiven They are normally (fairly) well behaved

They all sound perfect!

I don't like the whole needy, follow-you-everywhere, love-you-more-than-chips thing that dogs have, but all the mischief and intelligence appeals to me. I think a Bengal would suit my sense of humour!

I have a big black moggy who lives here (not technically mine!) who is very dog-like. He comes for walks with us, pants and snores like a dog (part Persian apparently), comes when you call him and jumps up at your legs! He does the whole bathroom thing too when he's here... maybe he's part Bengal too! I think he's great

I would love to rehome a Bengal for someone, as I'm not that fussy about whether it's a kitten or not. I'd like to think I was helping a cat in need. I used to work for the local Cats Protection and have fostered cats in the past. Being a single mum I can't really justify the cost of getting one from a breeder, though knowing me I might do it anyway!

I'm now going to soak up some knowledge around the forum

But dogs smell funny...



Seriously though, I think dogs just get on my nerves and cats don't! Nothing to do with responsibility, or time needed, or anything like that... I can't really explain it. I like the whole concept of having a mate who follows you and talks to you etc. I've had dogs, I don't hate dogs... I just prefer cats!

Well so far my little monster hasn't done anything OTT in the annoying stakes... the worst he's done is knock the lamp off the bookcase! He's great... follows me everywhere, trips me up, drinks my tea, sleeps in my bed with me, yowls like Gary the snail from Spongebob... I love him
