Hello everyone,

I'm a long time lurker, and I wanted to introduce our new baby, Harley Quinn. We picked up Harley on Saturday. She is an F1 female from Legacie Bengals.
Harley is an absolute sweet heart, always purring, full of love, head-butting, and of course loving her playtime. She is sitting on my lap as I type right now. I'm pretty sure her brother is Marcus (with NikkiT). If so, it should be cool comparing notes between the two

Love the name, and she's gorgeous as all F1s are. Please feel free to share more information on what it's like raising an F1... and I'm also surprised that you ended up with a female. I've never actually seen a female F1 sold as a pet.

Welcome! Where abouts in PA? I'm in da Burgh. Just out of curiosity what was involved legally to own an F1? Beautiful girl keep the pictures coming everyone loves EGs here.

Thanks for the info. I've always been into wild/exotic animals and thought I knew our laws. My cobra is fine but a squirrel is out of the question?? When I decided I wanted a cat I started looking into a Serval, ALC, Ocilot etc. Our laws aren't so clear on non-endangered wild cats. I never really looked into F1-F4 because I thought they were still considered the wild version and the same fuzzy laws. Anyways being my first cat just like my first snake I wanted to build experience first so I got a Bengal. Its a little different than a snake but our relationship is incredible I have no doubt I couldn't care for a wild cat now. Partially because like the snakes my hopes aren't any higher than becoming a non-threatening part of their environment, anything past that is a bonus I don't see any other cats in the near future for me but someday maybe. Congrats on your new baby I love her name! That was my first pets name! I am so excited to see the F1's on her not only are they the most beautiful cats I have ever seen but I am so curious to see how they are to raise! I want one really bad but I have small children and I have to wait a few years before I can get and EG! Please keep us updated with photos and how things are going as far as rasing her! she is adorable I cant wait to see he mature!!

Hello everyone,

I wanted to give you an update on Harley. She has been with us 3 days now and is definitely getting more comfortable with her surroundings. We are keeping her in our bathroom for most of the time (it's fairly large), but yesterday allowed her some playtime in the adjoining bedroom. She is such a hunter, loving to hide and pounce on any unsuspecting toy (or toes). She also starting playing a game of chase with us where we pretend to stalk her, then she will arch her back & sideways jump towards us, pretending to be the oh-so-fierce one. We pretend to be scared and run away. Then we will do it to her, and back & forth. Every time we "catch" one another, she gives us a head-butt and lots of purrs. It's the most adorable thing and so funny.

She makes the funniest sounds, i dont even know if I can describe them. She sniffs when she is playing/stalking. She will also make these very bird-like chirps from time to time, but nothing that i've heard from a cat before. Then she has thing muffled growl/chirp thing that she does.

Every morning and evening we sit down and have some cuddle time. The breeder advised us to purchase some formula for her, so we sit and bottle feed her for 30 minutes or so. She doesnt need this for the nutrition, but Jill said it would be a great bonding thing to do together. She is such a little love bug.

She isnt eating as much as I expected her to, maybe a can and a half total all day, spaced out between servings in the morning, afternoon & evening. I'm thinking her belly is filling up on the formula so i might only give her a half a bottle this evening to see if that makes a difference, we'll see.

How big are the cans?

i have been giving her, per the breeder's recommendation, Fancy Feast kitten. they are the small 3oz cans. We mix them with a bit of royal canin kitten dry food.

I love Harley she is so PRETTY! She looks just like Marcus! Like I said on NikkiT post it going to be priceless watching the two of these little wild ones grow together and you are really lucky to have found each other on the forum! Its amazing I am so in love with Harley and Marcus I cant wait to see more!
