Hiya! I've been lurking the forums for months now (reading all the "are Bengals for us" threads) and since we have committed to adopting a pair of beautiful hooligans I though I'd take the plunge and join properly!

I am Lynz and I live in Central Scotland with my spouse and 10 year old daughter. And soon two beautiful Bengals; Jones (after the cat in Alien) and Temple (named by my kid. No, we don't know where it came from, either, but the Indiana Jones link between them is pretty cool! If totally accidental...). I've been researching for months and am hitting the real nitty gritty now - raw diets and the like. So there may be some daft hand-holding threads in the not-so-distant future!

This should be a picture of the new kids when they were only 2 weeks old (Jones on the left, Temple on the right) - crossing everything!! They're a bit bigger now but only a little - it's September before we can bring them home! Excited!

Absolutely adore the names as well I actually only watched Alien for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago once my boyfriend found out i had never seen it. Literally spent the entire film going "is the cat going to be ok?"...."where's the cat now?"..."ARGH DON'T LET HIM EAT THE CAT!!!"..."ahhhh and the cat is safe"

What type of bengals are they? marble? rosetted? Is temple a snow / silver or is that just a trick of the light? ahh i get so excited about everyone's kitten photos Will be lovely to see how they develop! It's amazing how their coat changes over these first few months!

Oh and in terms of the hand-holding threads, i was in the exact same boat only a month ago and can honestly say this forum was such a help, never be worried to ask, even if you think it's silly because the people on here are fantastic with helping out!

There are some really good posts on raw feeding in the nutrition section as well, the top sticky written by Suki is fantastic. I have only started to look into raw and recently started this post viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15922 and have had some really great replies about the benefits, UK suppliers / costs etc which made a lot of sense for a beginner like me so that might be of some help to you!

Indeed, it will be a long LONG wait. I chose my breeder then had to wait 2 months for my kitty's litter to be born.

I am reaching the end of a 13 week wait for him to be ready to come home.

Wow I have been waiting over 5 months for my baby...an eternity.

I assure you, this will be the most spoiled cat ever!

Thanks everyone for the welcome, it is indeed going to be a looong summer! Although it gives me time to shop for just the right stuff AND kitten proof the house. It's been a long time since I had freeroaming pets!

Piggle, Temple is indeed a silver! Both are spotted, I think Jones may rosette but it's hard to say when they're so teeny. Not that I really care, they are our pets first. I couldn't have chosen two, they were all so adorable and lively, but my daughter zeroed in on one and - most surprisingly - my spouse honed right in on Jones. Them being different colours was an added bonus!
