No, a Bengal cannot "handle" wild animals like coyotes and mountain lions any better than any other cat can. Aside from the fact that they have unique exotic looks and energetic personalities, Bengals are no different from other cats when it comes to "survival" if left unattended outdoors...

Why do you feel the need to let your cat outside in such a dangerous area? The fact that your neighbor's cats often go missing is a huge red flag. Not only are the wild animals a concern, but other dangers also include cars, other aggressive cats, dogs, mean people who would hurt your cat, someone who would steal the cat for it's exotic looks, poisons, fleas/parasites/diseases, etc... Really the list goes on and on. Are you against just keeping a cat safely indoors as a loving house pet?

Bengals are Bengal and that is that ! Because they have a little wild in them does not mean they can handle other animals! Even the Asian leopard Cat is not a big cat and not very aggressive even in the wild! I would not dare put any cat outside theres so many things that can happen hear if BB were to get outside I freak out and we dont have Mountain Lions!!!! Any cat wouldnt stand a chance against a cat of that size not even humans can stand a chance with a Moutain Lion. Please dont get a Bengal or other pet and let it out in your area knowing that its in such great danger!!! they are beautiful intelligent cats and very fun to have and they become like family, i wouldnt throw a family member outside with cougars and say tough it out!!! If you want a Bengal it should be 100% indoors except for a walk on a harness , honestly I would probably wouldnt do that in your area!

Please research into bengals A LOT more! They may look like exotic little leopards but don't be fooled, they are no different from any other domestic cat in terms of how they would cope in "the wild". They are still domesticated housecats, certainly not capable of going against a coyote or a mountain lion!

The very fact that you have stated your neighbours cats have gone missing should make you think that even if a bengal was a little hardier than your average housecat (which i must stress, they are NOT) it would still be your pet and in danger from attacks from coyote / mountain lions...doesn't just the thought that your pet could get hurt make you want to just keep it inside and safe from harms way?

Really is this a joke to get everyone going off? It seems to be working if that was your intensions!
