Hi everyone :D . I love, love Bengals and after waiting for ohhh about 10 years I am finally in the position to be able to own one. As a family we are very interested in showing our Bengal (when we get one ). We have started visiting shows and I window shop on Bengal websites every day looking for my dream kitten  .

We hope to have a new kitten (maybe 2) very soon and I am sure I will be on here looking for advice.

Hi and welcome, fairyface! I found this website really helpful in my research before getting my Bengals, and it's been great to talk to other Bengal owners with funny stories or questions. The main rule is that when you get your kitten(s), you must post pictures! I'd also recommend two - I'd only ever had one cat at a time before, but I love watching my two chase and play with each other.

Thank you for the replies :D . I am living in Bristol (UK) at the moment. I would appreciate any advice you can give . As I mentioned we are very interested in showing, so do you suggest that I get both cats as show cats (I have budgeted for this) or one show, one pet.

We will be up in the Birmingham show as well so hopefully we will get to chat to people there. I am so excited as this will be a dream come true for me.

lovely to have another enthusiast among our ranks!

if you look on any of the 3 U.K bengal club sites you will find links to breeder's websites. you have a few good ones near you, in the south west & in wales.

hopefully you will meet a few people at the supreme & get to see their lovely cats! :D

Hi Fairyface....feels sooOO odd calling someone that!

Welcome to the forums!

My advice to you would be to take your time in choosing your new kittens....especially considering you're planning to show.

Do your homework and visit a few shows to find your footing before you commit yourself....and ultimately never feel pressured. Also If you're on any lists/groups just beware if anyone contacts you privately offering you kittens!

Maybe one or two of us will....or won't...maybe....or even might be at that place in the midlands.

Exhibitors aren't allowed to talk about shows they will be attending in the future....their rules not mine!

I have an idea of what I am looking for but I will be taking my time for sure. I find that although Bengals look amazing in photos or whatever they look so much more amazing in real life and I am so looking forward to the show. I had to leave the Weston one early because my son had tonsillitis and I was really disappointed.

I guessed no one would be able to tell me if they were going to Birmingham but I thought I would let people know that we would be there :D . Although I will not be introducing myself as fairyface

Welcome here ;).

Can't help with breeders in UK as I'm in France but I hope you'll find your kitties very soon ;)
