Howdy! My family and I just rescued a Bengal from a lady who was threatening to toss her "stupid cat" out the front door. Yup, one of those horrible people. The short and long of it is a friend of a friend contacted me about a Bengal her not so bright sister was neglecting and about to throw out on the streets, and since I am an active animal shelter volunteer and rescue advocate her first thought was to contact me. Without question I took the cat, to at least get it away from the horrible situation she was in. I have all vet records and her breeder papers. She is already spayed and (ugh) declawed and other than being up to date on shots and TF tested, I have no other background on this amazing cat. She is our first Bengal and we have no other cats, two of my kids are severely allergic to most cats but have had no reaction to her (happy dance!!!).

Her name is Savannah and she is approx. 2 years old. She is BEAUTIFUL and from what I have researched and read on Bengals, everything a Bengal should be (personality speaking) and we think that is just fantastic. She LOVES to play with my kids (I have three of 'em ages 7,6 and 3) and is such a snuggle bug and attention hound. Talk about VOCAL! I thought the few Siamese I have fostered were talkers, OMG they have NOTHING on her!

Anywho, looking forward to getting to know everyone and learn more about this very unique and awesome breed.

Oh and the reason for this lady wanting to get rid of Savannah? Get this, she "was too active, talked too much, and wouldn't stop playing in her water bowl." I just about died. Took everything I had not to recommend a pet rock.

Welcome! Sorry to hear Savannah has had such a hard time, but well done for taking her in! There's just no sense to some people But looks like her luck has changed now! Hope she brings you many years of fun and happiness.

Excellent. I'm glad that Savannah has a great home. I definitely think a bengal and young kids could be a great pairing. We should get that lady a chia-pet for Christmas to replace her bengal.

P.S. the name "Savannah" is a bit ironic. It's a bit like having a Lion and calling him "Tiger".
