Hi all,
I've been lurking for a wee while now and decided to join
I have 3 cats. Two pure white female moggies and 1 male Bengal. Got all three in September 2010. That was my first time having cats and I wasn't quite sure how to deal with them. My hubby had cats before so he helped me with a lot of things.
I must say it's great having a Bengal. He's just bonkers, there is no other way to put it! He's very chatty and very playful and doesn't take a telling! He's such a helpful wee guy as well. The other two are placid compared to him.
We bought him as a female and called him Maggie (after Maggie Cheung) and then about a month later he turned out to be a boy! So we named him Jethro (after NCIS).
When we got him at first we had terrible trouble with his poops, very runny and unhealthy but all the time he seemed find. We fed him Felix pouches, Go Cat dry food and other wet food.
After much reading and research we switched to Royal Canin and never looked back since! Within 2 weeks of switching to that brand, he was fine. The two females also eat this brand too as it's very difficult to feed them individually. The girls never had a problem with 'cheaper' foods.
I'm so glad I got a Bengal! They really are such fun
