If he has had one of the "cat flu" viruses it may have caused blockage or scarring to tear duct thus, the natural drainage of his eye liquids will not drain through the duct but run out through his eye onto his face. Not a lot you can do about it other than keep his eye wiped. Some vets will do a tear duct flush but not particularly successful

It is quite easy to find out if the tear duct is blocked, the vet uses the green fluorescent drops that they use to see if there are any scratches on the eye, if the tear duct is fine then the coloured drops will come out of the nostril on the same side, if not the tear drop is blocked.

Glad to hear he has recovered. :)

So pleased that Widget is better, these furbabies are such a worry when they are poorly, you must be so relieved x

They both look lovely and Pixel has got ver similar markings to my Raffiki x
