Hi, everyone. I am new both to the forum and also am about to become mom to two Bengals.

Two cats were dropped off at my vet's by the back door a few weeks ago and were discovered there in the morning. 1 boy, 1 girl, somewhere between 1-2 years, and they think brother and sister. The boy had a terrible fracture to his hip joint that required surgery and partial removal of the ball joint. He will always have a limp now, but can run and jump fairly well considering. The girl seems to have nothing wrong with her and seems to have been "collateral damage" to her brother's injury. My husband saw them while bringing the dog (we rescued a greyhound last summer) in for his yearly and asked if they were available for adoption as he was immediately taken by their unique markings. He had never seen a cat like that before and couldn't wait for me to see them. They're so beautiful! And he's not one to gush.

So, anyway, we should be picking them up from the vet as soon as everyone is up to date on shots, etc. and I thought it might be helpful to join this forum. We aren't 100% sure if they are Bengals or not, but they markings are so distinct (the boy is marbled, the girl is spotted - sorry if I am not using the right terms) that I am fairly certain they may be. I have been wanting a Bengal for a very long time and as soon as I saw the boy I was like, OMG, I think he might be a Bengal! Could it be? Could somoone really have abandoned these poor kitties because of an injury?! Well, either way - I'm THRILLED. So, as soon as I have pictures of them, maybe someone will be able to tell me what they think? Either way, I'm a very happy new kitty mom.

Anyway - any words of advice for a potential new Bengal mom?

I honestly can't wait! I am calling the vet soon to see if they are ready to come to their forever home yet. Fingers crossed!!

Now, once they come home, I need to come up with names for them. We are thinking "Boomer" for the boy (because apparently he makes a big boom when he falls - what they think the injury is from) but are not sure about the girl. From reading the forum a bit, I am thinking "Trouble" might be appropo! LOL.
