Well so far so good! Picked him up yesterday morning and he cried/screamed all the way home. Luckily it was a local pick-up so didnt take long.
Took him to his chosen room (my bedroom for now!) and opened his carrier door, within 10 minutes he'd found all of his new toys and every corner and crevice in said room. He plays for hours!! Certainly very confident and sure of himself. At the moment he's staying in this room, he's briefly met the dog but think that was a bit much (we're talking a rather large and clumsy doberman here!) so we'll take it steady with that one. And also briefly met one of my other cats, who was totally not bothered but Rascal insisted on hissing and overreacting to him so again we'll leave that until he feels more ready for it.
He's eating nicely (not as well as you'd expect a kitten to but doing well enough considering all this change) and also using the litter tray.
I've bought him a small kitten bed but last night he took to sleeping under my bed then frequently waking me up during the night to sneak under my blankets and have a snooze under there too
I assume it will just take time until he feels secure enough to sleep in his own bed...
Along with being absolutley mental when it comes to playing he's also very cuddly and is quite content curling up on my knee, lap, shoulder and strokes my face with his paw. Think its safe to say that I am head over heels already...
... hes just gorgeous!
